Week 1, Activity 6: Miracle on the Hudson
What does Miracle of Hudson mean? There was this man named Mr Chesley Sullenberger, or
(Sully), Well he became really popular and famous. He is known as an airline pilot for about 30 years. In 2009, he became world famous when he landed his aeroplane in the middle of the Hudson River in New York City He was forced to make an emergency landing when both of the engines in his aeroplan lost power. All 155 people on board survived the landing. This amazing event became known as the ' Miracle on the Hudson'.
For this activity, I had to talk about a time when I, or someone I know, was brave like Sully. On my blog, I had to recount a time when I (or someone else you know) did something brave.
Mine is about when my sister fell off the park and broke her arm!
It was a sunny day out in the park, me and my sister was playing tiggy. The park was only like 1-2 minutes away from our home. My sister and I was having so much fun... until... she climbed on the tipity top of the spider web obstacle and fell. She was crying and screaming and I ran straight home and... "Mum, Come on, Dana fell of the park and I think she broke her leg? or arm?" My mum grabbed the car and I ran straight to my sister. My mum slowly picker her up and put her in the car and we drove straight to the hospital. My sister got a cast on her arm. A couple weeks when we were aloud to draw on it, I grabbed a sharpie and wrote... "I LOVE YOU-By your fav sister".
