Thank You for the SUPPORT!

Today is National Support Staff Day where we celebrate key people in our school who help us with our learning for reading, writing and maths..sometimes even p.e and admin things like helping us contact our parents and whanau at home when we're feeling sick and need to go home or making sure that we can take home notices and newsletters about what is happening at school.

Whaea Stacy is one of those people. She makes sure that we can contact our family, rings if we're sick or have forgotten permission slips so can't make it on trips...

Matua Matt helps us with P.E, teaches us about leadership, respect, working as a team and making sure that we constantly learn from our mistakes.  Whaea Chanella is helping me become a more confident speaker of Te Reo.
Thank You all so much.

Personalised Pathways.

Today Whaea Sue came in to do a review on our personalised pathways. This is the part that I don't like doing. Why? Because I always have nothing to write. I am going to be putting this on our blog post tracker, so that I earn points for my team. Here is a photo of my Personalised Pathways.

My Introduction!

Maths

WALT:Use place value partitioning to solve division problems.
Our task was to create a maths DLO using scratch Jr.
While I was creating this DLO on scratch I learned how to create your own character witch made this task way more easier.
The most complicated thing about this was fingering out how I could make the DLO Correctly.
I was saying in my head that this wasn't going to work. But it did. Have you ever done something similar to this? I hope you enjoy my video,It is a bit quite but I hope you can hear me clearly. Nga Mihi Nui kia koutou: Marta

Debugging on ScratchJr

WALT:Create a grid and code our characters to move.
Sc:
Use our voice to explain what we are doing
Use Scratch Jr
Record using screencastify

First we had to create grid and then Insert characters. Then we had to put in obstacles, and then we had to create our code/directions. After that we had to record with voice recording.Last but not least we had to post it to blog.

During this learning I learned how to put your photo into a character.
The hardest thing was getting the correct numbers of how much to move.
Did you know that we could create our own background? Because I didn't.
I hope I inspired you to give this a go. Nga mihi:Marta
