Epro8

Tuesday afternoon a group got chosen to go to Epro8 at Whangarei Intermediate School. I was so lucky I was apart of that group. I was so nervous thinking about what my team and I would build and what place we would come. So much thoughts. We arrived to Whangarei Intermediate School and our teacher Whaea Gaylene showed us what objects and wires are for what. When it was time to start we grabbed out the 1 meter poles and built a square so we could build up from that base... The problem was we didn't know how to.  For a whole HOUR we were stuck until we all clicked and did a easy one. We finished the task and smashed the red button to tell the man who was checking if we were right. Our song was Penutbutter Jelly, So funny. He came and said Yes so he scanned the points and left. We carried on and jumped straight up to 280 points. We were coming 1st equal tie at that moment. We had ten minutes on the clock to earn us points. We flipped the page of the book and and saw a easy task to make. It was a rat wheel. We made it just before the timer. The people next to us was one of the teams that we were equal tie with. He said we got it correct and made it to 310. The next team came and their system was worth 40 points. They got it! They had 320 and we had 310. So we came 2nd out of all teams.

My Special Place

Can you find any mistake? Yes or No. Tell me where? We had to write a blurb about a special place not only to yourself but to a community. My community is my family.

WALT: Identify and explain special places in our community.

My special place
My childhood house has it's classified within the walls. Most of my beloved memories were within the property and most of my family members shared their emotions. This property held our family together for more than 30 years. My nana and papa has raised their young ones in that home even there moko’s. I love to believe that this place is a special place to grow and experience things. Such as family game night, memories and  even the sad moments we had when we get a growling from our elderlies from playing to rough or by accidentally throwing the ball at the beautiful plants they grew. This place is also special because we celebrate the holidays by having the best BBQ and having the most disgusting salad. That is why my nana and papa’s house is a special place to me.
